Bradley Byrne today released two television ads that will begin running in Birmingham, Huntsville and Mobile this weekend. One is called Faith and Family,
This one is pretty boilerplate, but is a good introduction for people who have never heard of Bradley Byrne to get a first impression that is positive and in-line with many Alabamians.
And the other is called Family Decisions,
This one is a bit different in presentation, while still communicating the kind of message you would expect to hear in a Republican primary. My impression is that it comes off pretty stilted and isn’t as engaging as it might have been, because of trying to get the whole family involved in a 30 second spot.
Mr. Byrne is certainly trying to put is family out front in these early ads, which is smart, but giving everyone a speaking role may be overdoing it just a bit. Overall a good introduction and first effort, I’ll be interested to see which candidate comes out of the gates next with TV ads of his/her own.
